Welcome to the Contra Costa County Library Podcast Blog!

We offer two podcasts for children created by librarians at the Contra Costa County Library.

  • Online Storytime: This podcast is for young children and features nursery rhymes and short stories read by children’s librarians. A new episode is released once a month on Tuesday mornings.
  • Chapter-a-Week: This podcast is for older children and features longer kids’ books; a children’s librarian reads one chapter each week. A new chapter is released every Monday.

I’m a parent and also a library school student. I want to thank you for this wonderful service. I am curious if this is an in-house reading–do your children’s librarians do the readings–or is it something you subscribe to?

Hello – I am trying to download Alice and Wonderland but it seems chapter 3 and 6 are missing. Can someone let me know where I can find all the chapters? Thank you. Nadine

Do you allow non-employees to read books and/or chapters?

If so, how would one sign up to do it?

    Thank you.
